Unfortunately, I did not have screenshots/recordings for this (i didn't think it was a scam), but I just wanted to make the community aware of a scamming method:
I do not know this person's main account, but I am confident they do this on an alt. The alt's user is dontbecringe. This account has few achievements/animals/shown items, making you think it is a New Jammer.
Though it may still be a New Jammer, they pretty much did everything they could to look poor and and had an 'nm shop.' None of their items were of particularly high value, at least the ones in the den. They said that each item cost a rim, but they would gladly accept donations. I was feeling nice so traded them a purple short wrist. I offered to buddy them.
They acted excited and overjoyed and grateful, but five minutes later I found them in Jamaa Township (Aldan) asking for a spiked wrist. Strange, since I'd already gifted them one. I asked them why not just trade up from that. They left the area.
After, they went to a new server and repeated their method. I am not sure how long they have been using this account, but do not trade them anything you think you might miss. I am aware this is not entirely a scam, but immediately after they unbuddied and blocked me, completely ignoring me. Based on their reaction I believe this person is just trying to look poor and guilt trip you so they can stock up on rare items to later trade to their main account.
Additionally, several of my buddies have experienced this as well. They spam-traded a necklace for my buddy's white beta elf tail, and numerous times upon seeing me they left, implying that they want to avoid confrontation and intentionally lied.
I'm not saying this person is a major scammer who deserves to be reported/banned/suspended, just be careful. They're not going to be your friend for more than a minute after you've given them items.
